Hatching eggs    Amelia’s Grandad is providing us with all the equipment to enable us to hatch our very own chickens!  They are arriving at the end of February and he will do a talk for the children and we will continue their learning and understanding of this life cycle.

                                                                                                                    Authorisation codes

We are still waiting on a number of codes.  If you have received it either email the code to me or bring in immediately as funded sessions cannot be granted if there is no code assigned.  Likewise, if you have not received it we need to know in order to chase it up.

Trouser hangers

Do you have any spare trouser hangers at home?  If so please bring them in as they are a useful storage solution for our large books

Session times                                                                                                        We will shortly be implenting a late charge as an increasing amount of children are not being collected on time which has a direct impact on staffing and the changeover of sessions.  Please ensure children arrive and are collected at the appropriate times.  Your key worker will clarify times with you as there is a variety of sessions and wraparound care.  If you require additional sessions or extended care costs can be provided.

Spare clothes

Please ensure children have a change of clothes in their bags at all times, this is not only for accidents, but also if they spill milk or fall in the garden etc.

Authorisation codes                                                      I have been advised that the codes have been issued, therefore, should be with you in the next couple of days.  Codes must be brought to the nursery in order to claim and access your child’s funded placement.

Fee payments                                                            A wee reminder that fees must be paid in advance as per fee contract in order to access placement.

Care Home Visits                                                                                                Our visit to the Care Home was so successful that we have been asked to make this a regular thing, therefore, we have arranged a visit for next week.  Groups of children will have the opportunity to participate in block sessions as we feel this would be more beneficial to them and the residents.

In Service DayThe nursery will be closed on Monday 12th February for an in service day.  Term time children and also college funded placements will also be off on the Tuesday and Wednesday to return as normal on Thursday.

Nursery shoes                                                                                                   It would be a great help if you could mark your children’s shoes with their name or initials and replace in their bags daily as many are getting misplaced or mixed up.  We have delible pens that you can use, which will make a permanent mark.

Daily diary online                                                                       The Caterpiller Room are moving to producing the daily diaries online like the baby room.  This is a more eco efficient way and provides an opportunity for feedback from working or busy parents who may not have the time when they drop off or collect their child/ren.

Please ensure that children have appropriate clothing and wellingtons for outdoor play as we have been spending a lot of time in the garden area and the grass is usually wet and muddy.
