The children have now finished their Dinosaur Topic.  They learnt that dinosaurs were on this land millions of years ago and they can now confidently identify up to 10 dinosaurs!
They have a good understanding of the definition of herbivore, carnivore and omnivore and even extended this to knowing about the differences in the structure of their teeth.
The children explored how they died and that they are now extinct which led them on to looking at fossils with an awareness of the role of a paleontologist.
The children really enjoyed the aspect of finding out information in different ways and also the competitive theme they adopted for gaining and keeping their knowledge for a group quiz at the end of the topic.  Therefore we are going to explore 'Investigation' as our next topic for learning which will incorporate; detectives, spring, sequencing and Easter.

Some dinosaurs came to visit today!.....

We explored augmented reality with Ashleigh today using some equipment supplied by Computer Xplorers
